Description: Part of the Asteraceae family, the butter daisy, also known as golden Crownbeard, is an upright bush that produces a prolific amount of yellow flowers that can grown to about 2 inches. It is an annual and produces many seeds that, if allowed to fall in place, will produce that many more plants the next season. The butter daisy does well in sandy soil and in disturbed sites which accounts for why they can often be found along walkways and roadsides.
