Thank you for considering Sarvodaya Farms & Nursery for your special event!  We are a non-profit run urban farm in the historic city of Pomona CA and we are excited to host you. Please find a summary of our offerings as a venue space below.

Parking

Guests are invited to park on the street in front of our farm, or at the parking lot for Washington Park across from the farm.  Parking is usually plentiful at the park, except on certain Saturday mornings during baseball season.

Available Spaces & Timing

Certain spaces of our farm are available to rent during our normal business hours (Tuesday to Saturday from 9am to 3pm).  The whole farm is available for rent only once we are closed (after 3:30pm) or for an additional fee (see below).

 

The Nursery Hangout 

Only available outside normal business hours

 

A medium size area at the front of our farm that can hold about 40 people comfortably.  Nestled under the shade of an old pine tree and surrounded by our plants in our nursery.  This area includes 4 picnic tables (picnic tables cannot be moved from this area), is close to our walk-in cooler and kitchen, and next to our compost-based restroom.

 

The Stage

Available during and after business hours

 

The Stage is hugged by our vegetable gardens and the Magically Delicious Botanic Garden.  This space is 20ft x 40ft (including the stage) and the stage is 12ft x 16ft (2ft above ground).  The perfect space for plays, concerts, talks, demonstrations and more.  The stage is covered by shade cloth and has built-in electrical outlets.

 

The Learning Pergola

Available during and after business hours

 

Located at the back of our farm next to our fruit orchard, The Learning Pergola is the perfect space for a gathering or class of up to 40 people.  The area is covered by a newly built 30ft x 16ft Redwood Pergola and surrounded by apricot, peach, plum, and mulberry trees.

 

About Our Compost-based Restrooms

Our farm has only compost-based restrooms available for our guests and venue rentals. Our restrooms are clean, comfortable to use and completely smell-free. Guests are always happily surprised by how comfortable our restrooms are. Toilets in our restroom work by separating urine and feces within the toilet.  Urine is directed into a wood-chip pit in the ground to fertilize our fruit trees, and feces are covered after every use with compost (by the toilet user). We clean and prep our restrooms prior to every Venue Rental.
