We are open 5 days a week for regular visitation. Come stroll through our renowned gardens, shop from our rare plant nursery, or just take a nap by the pond.

WHAT TO BRING
Our farm is a semi-rustic space. Please wear comfortable shoes to walk in (no high heels) and bring sun-protection if visiting in summer.
Field Trips and Group Visitation
We welcome school field trips, homeschool groups, boy/girl scout troops, and community groups for organized visits to our space.
Schedule of Availability
Our farm guides are generally available from 9:30 – 11:30 a.m. and 1:00 - 3:00 p.m. on weekdays. If you have special scheduling requests, let us know in advance and we may be able tomake adjustments. To schedule a visit, please fill out our contact form.All visitors must sign a waiver before their visit. Minors require a parent/guardian’s signature
Booking Information
All group visitation bookings are made through Healing Gardens and must be paid by credit card. Fees are fully refundable if a trip is canceled by Sarvodaya Farms and in cases of extreme weather and/or emergency school closing. 50% will be refunded if the trip is canceled by the school/ group. Inthe event of a weather emergency, the visit will be rescheduled.
What to Wear
A Sarvodaya Farms field trip is an outdoor experience, rain or shine (except during severeweather such as lightning or heat advisories).Visitors should dress appropriately for the weather and wear sturdy shoes for walking in grass,mud, and dirt paths.Visitors are also encouraged to bring reusable water bottles and sunscreen.
Kids Groups
Sarvodaya Farms offers outdoor educational programs that can be tailored to your group age and size. Our Farm Team will customize the visit according to each group’s goals, interests, and time frame.
We work to make our programming accessible to groups of lesser financial means. If you are not able to meet our quotes fees below, please indicate so on the when filling out the Visit Request Form.
Basic Field Trip (Meet the Farmers & Farm Tour)
Our standard field trip takes kids on a exploratory trip through our diverse and beautiful farm. Kids will be guided through a tour of our entire farm, exploring our nursery operation, vegetable gardens, fruit orchards, pond habitat and more.
Groups 8 to 15: $15 per attendee
Groups of 16 to 30: $12 per attendee
Groups 30 and above: $10 per attendee
Hands-on Field Trip (Farm Tour + Learning Stations)
Our hands-on field trip takes kids on a exploratory trip through our diverse and beautiful farm. Kids will be divided into groups of 8 to 10, and then circulate through 3-4 stations (depending on group size), each focusing on a different perspective of the farm.
Groups of 10-20: choose 2 stations below:
Field Trip Fee: $400
Groups of 21-30: choose 3 stations below
Field Trip Fee: $550
Groups of 31-40: choose 4 stations below
Field Trip Fee: $720
Station Options
- Nursery station: Learn how to mix potting soil and plant seeds
- Vegetable Garden station: Learn about the diverse crops growing in our garden and explore soil hands-on by digging into our garden's soil
- Compost station: Learn how "waste" is a silly concept, and how food scraps and garden trimmings can be turned into black gold
- Pollinator station: Learn about our native pollinator relatives and how we can create homes for them by planting native gardens
- Herbs station: Learn about herbs from our gardens and their historical uses. Prepare teas with the herbs.
Preparing Your Students
Please note that all youth visitors must have their parent or guardian complete a waiver beforethey arrive on the farm. Available for download HERE. We’d appreciate your help preparing your students for the trip by sharing our farm’s rules withthem before they arrive:
● Ask permission before picking and eating any produce or using any tools.
● Leave sticks, woodchips, and rocks on the ground.
● Try out a new food and “Don't yuck my yum!”If it’s not your favorite please keep “gross,” “yuck,” or “nasty” to yourself – you mightinfluence someone else to not like it.
● Stay calm around insects and animals
Preparing Your Chaperones
We love working with enthusiastic chaperones who help their youth enjoy the farm! We like toremind our adult guests of a few guidelines before the trip:
● Help youth stay safe by monitoring their movements – reminding them to stay on thepaths, not throw sticks or rocks, and to be cautious when using tools.
● Maximize student learning by letting youth answer questions and experience the activitiesfirst.
● “Try on” new experiences and tastes.
● Help us practice environmental responsibility by reminding youth to only use onedrinking cup while visiting and to pick up any litter they generate.
Adults Groups
Adult group trips consist of a farm tour and discussion with our farmers. We can adapt any adult trip to focus on any particular focus interest (urban farming, sustainability, soil enrichment, biodiversity, etc.). Please indicate any focus areas on the Visit Request Form below.
Groups 8 to 15: $18 per attendee
Groups of 16 to 30: $15 per attendee
Groups 30 and above: $12 per attendee
Volunteer Groups
Volunteer group trips must consist of primarily volunteers age 16 and up. We do not accept children volunteer groups.
