A Sarvodaya exclusive variety, from Farmer Rishi’s parent’s house. Ruby Heart is a highly productive, large fruited pomegranate. Both the skin and arils have a deep, glossy ruby color. The arils are medium size, with an intense but well balanced sweet and tart flavor. Ruby heart makes for excellent fresh eating, and a very rich luxurious juice.
The tree is very vigorous, and disease resistant.
CARE INSTRUCTIONS
Pomegranate is fairly easy to take care of. If desired, pomegranates can be pruned to a tree shape. Add compost at initial planting, and dress with 1/2 inch of compost annually. Pomegranates will survive drought, but will flourish with regular deep watering.
