California Buckwheat (Eriogonum Fasciculatum) is a native shrub found in the Southwest US and Northwest Mexico. Its leaves are leathery, woolly on the underside, and rolled under along the edges. It grows in patchy or spreading bushes up to 7 feet in height and 10 feet in width. Its beautiful pink and white flowers are about 1 inch in size and appear in dense clusters, making it an excellent source of nectar for honey bees.
