The Pakistan mulberry is the “king” of the fruiting mulberries, producing 3 1/2″ to 5″ long berries. The White Pakistan is the sweetest of all mulberries, with candy like flavor and no tartness. Juice does not stain. It has multi-month long fruiting season starting heavy in late spring/early summer and continuing to fruit until mid-summer.
Like all mulberries, Pakistan White is extremely fast growing and produces copious amounts of fruit. To limit the size of this mulberry, prune heavily every year. With heavy pruning, mulberry can be maintained to any size, even a short bush. Can also be allowed to grow up into a shade tree.
To collect fruit, place a tarp or net under the tree and shake the tree. Ripe fruit will fall and can be picked up easily.
